The Summer 2026 Newsletter is here!

It’s that time of the year again. Time to sit back, grab a coffee, tea, or chai, and re-discover the good work we’re doing at MSMF and the Sankurathri Foundation.

In the feature story, we learn how donations from MSMF helped the Sankurathri Foundation purchase a new Force Traveller van this summer. This contribution will strengthen outreach efforts, and ensure that every child has access to timely, quality vision care.

In the second story, we learn about Mohammed Shareef and his wife.
The couple were blessed with three children. Their first child was healthy, but their second child was born with complete vision loss. When their third child, a baby boy, was born, their worst fears came true – he had congenital cataracts in both eyes.

While searching for a solution, Shareef learned about the Srikiran Eye Hospital. With hope in his heart, he brought his third child to the hospital, where they removed the cataracts from both of his eyes, free of charge.

The newsletter also contains important statistics that show the latest impact of the Eye Care Program, as well as key information from MSMF’s 2025 financial audit.

Finally, there is a brief story about Dr. Sankurathri’s visit to Canada, from August 11 – 19. During this time he met MSMF Supporters and Funders, as well as Board Members, in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Dr. Sankurathri also went on to visit the United States.
