Eye Screening Camps at the Srikiran Institute of Opthalmology

At the Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology, our mission is to provide accessible, affordable and equitable eye care services to all, irrespective of their race, religion, caste, age, sex and other socio-economic factors. 

As part of this program, our dedicated outreach team will systematically plan and conduct eye screening camps across villages and mandals in Kakinada and the surrounding districts. These camps are organized with the generous support of sponsors and in collaboration with local governing bodies, such as panchayats and community leaders, whose involvement ensures the smooth execution and success of the programs.

Each camp is conducted by a qualified team of members, consisting of an Ophthalmologist, an Ophthalmic Assistants, Vision Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians, Outreach Managers, and Support Staff. This reflects our uncompromising commitment to provide comprehensive, values-based and quality eye care services.

To ensure continuity of care, our counsellors perform regular follow-ups with the patients who have already received treatment and those who are yet to visit the hospital after referral.

Over the last 33 years, Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology has organized more than 5,100 outreach camps and screened more than 12,36,000 patients out of which 5,36,000 are children only.
